What is a website revenue audit?

Last updated:

A website revenue audit is a file of record for public marketing pages: a letter grade, dimension scores, evidence, and a ship list you can re-run. It is not a roast thread, a chatbot, or a six-week slide deck. SiteRevenue scores the URL you paste, shows a free teaser, then unlocks the page file for $19. The cash path is the $19 page file.

File of record vs roast

Use the report as this week’s ticket list. Dollar ranges inside are prioritization estimates, not guarantees or financial advice. Side-by-side: Landing page roasts vs a revenue audit.

Who it is for

  • Teams who pay for traffic (ads, partners, SEO) and need the landing experience to convert
  • Founders and marketers who want a downloadable file, not a chat log
  • Agencies who re-run the same site after shipping the action box

It is not a helpdesk chatbot, phone AI product, or scanner of private logged-in areas. Only public marketing pages you submit are analyzed.

Free, $19 page, API

Teaser omits full modules (no dimensions, captures, rewrites, or action box). Screenshot capture is fail-open — the report still delivers if a shot is missing. Job webhooks are not shipped yet.

See the sample report for the open full-report stack. Packs, monthly plans, and Agency: Pricing.

What a full report includes

The page file (and the sample) uses the same modules when the job has data, in live render order:

  1. Score & summary — letter grade (A healthier than F) + leak score (higher = more leaks on a live report) + board-ready paragraph
  2. Page job — inferred job from the HTML (not a PMF score)
  3. Fix these 3 this week — action box: highest-leverage wins with effort S/M/L
  4. History — when this site already has a prior full run (Improved / Dropped / Holding)
  5. Ranked findings — typically 5–8, each with evidence and a fix (not a refund SLA)
  6. Page captures — caption + image of the audited public URL (fail-open if a shot is missing)
  7. Dimension scorecard — modules scored 0–10 (higher = healthier on that slice). New full jobs emit Hero, CTA, Message match, Offer, Proof, Form, Trust, Mobile. Older jobs stay omit-safe
  8. Before → After rewrites — copy-paste hero / CTA / form variants with rationale
  9. Quick wins — longer effort list when present
  10. Message match — when the job returned arriving promise vs page promise
  11. Where competitors do better — when you typed competitor URLs; we fetch those public pages (max three, fail-open). Names without a URL stay hints. We do not invent a rival
  12. Exports — Markdown, JSON, PDF from a succeeded full job

Older jobs omit empty sections — the UI never invents modules. Unlocking starts a new full job that captures the page again.

How it works

  1. Paste a URL on the home page (optional desired outcome and competitor URLs frame the audit).
  2. Free mini audit runs in about a minute — public HTML capture + structured teaser. If you do not know the job, the job wizard attaches who / get / money click without a second mini run.
  3. Unlock the page file ($19); on-site checkout; email at pay binds recovery. Page full jobs fetch competitor URLs you typed (fail-open). The cash path stays the $19 page file.
  4. Ship the action box, then re-audit the same site to see whether the letter grade moved.
  5. Park Solo, Park Agency, and Agency ($99/mo, 25 page credits), optional can watch that public URL. Watch emails you when the public page changes, one notify per site per day. Watch is opt-in and off by default. It never spends a page credit. Watch is not a v2 letter — re-audit when you need the file of record.

What “revenue audit” means here

A SiteRevenue audit focuses on conversion and message friction on public pages — the same eight leak classes as the conversion leak checklist (new full jobs emit those labels):

  • Hero promise and primary CTA
  • Message match with the ad, search snippet, or AI Overview sentence they clicked
  • Offer, proof, form, and trust gaps
  • Mobile path friction visible in public HTML

It is not a full SEO technical crawl, accessibility certification, legal review, or Google Ads account audit. Ads login is not required.

Recovery and multi-site

Paid reports bind to the email used at checkout. Reopen via My Audits → Open with email (magic link — no password). One workspace can hold multiple sites; switch from the report dropdown and keep version history per site. Session URLs under /audits/:id are private (noindex). Share a time-bound read-only /s/:token when a colleague should not need your session — that is not a permanent public page.

Agent API (optional)

Teams on Agency ($99/mo, 25 page credits) run audits via REST or the siterevenue CLI with a Bearer key from Account. Poll for completion — webhooks later. Most buyers never need the API; the cash path is free grade → $19 page file. Watch is opt-in and off by default. It never spends a page credit.
